Celebrate, You Deserve It!

Updated: Jan 6

College is no walk in the park and every graduate knows that. It's sleepless nights, endless hours of studying and homework assignments on top of homework assignments.

It's about mastering the art of time management and amongst your classes, still finding time to hang out with friends and have a social life.

But more importantly, it's about finding yourself.

I remember my freshmen year of college, I was completely lost and had no idea what path to take. I switched from major to major, trying to find my passion.

It wasn't until my junior year when I found a career that really spoke to me and my interests; PR and content marketing.

So if you're in college, have fun. Don't be too immersed in your studies that you actually forget to enjoy everything that college has to offer. Go to a football game. Join a club. Make friends in your classes.

Step out of your comfort zone, because this is the time in your life where you test your limits and see who you really are. College is about discovering yourself, but more importantly, what your passions are.

Here are the questions you should be asking yourself if you're stuck:

  1. What do I care about? Like, REALLY care about? What issues are important to you?

  2. What do I enjoy doing? Take a look at your hobbies and what you do in your free time. Are these things that you can learn about and monetize?

  3. What are you good at? What skills do you have that you can maximize?

For those who recently graduated, I pray that this world is kind to you. That you have the least difficult time landing the job of your dreams. That you find your place in the world and then leave it better than you found it.

Celebrate. You deserve it.
